Message	If you just keep the same bushing, you'll end up with shaft play and a wobbly transmission. The pilot bushing is made of a softer metal so that it will wear down the bushing instead of wearing out the trans shaft. Therefore, it needs to be replaced periodically so that you don't develop too much freeplay.
